The Icebug gaiter is a lightweight boot with an elastic strap that keeps sand, small stones, sticks and other debris from entering your shoes causing pain and sometimes forcing you to stop and clean your shoes out. Running in pain can cause injury, and stopping will obviously hurt your time, so if you know that the course you will be running will have terrain with sand, and small rocks, be sure to bring your gaiters!!
